Weekly Update
1. This Friday November 27th is our next IVCF out night! This is a great chance for everyone to get together with friends from school, work, IVCF or otherwise! Need some ideas on what to do? Check our website as we will be updating it with events going on in the local area. If you have an event that you would like to be posted please email us back. Remember, we are still building up our community list- email us back if you would like your information on this list so that other people in our group can contact you to make plans etc. We’ll send out a master copy of this list in the next few weeks.
2. Our Coffee Fundraiser is going on this week, Monday- Thursday, 8-3:30pm. If you get the chance, be sure to stop by to say hi! We are still looking for people to help out, specifically on Wednesday from 11:30-12:00 and Thursday 10-12. If you would like to be added to the list please email us back with your times of availability! Remember that this is a great fundraiser to help lower our costs for SHIFT (Winter Retreat).
3.Next Friday- December 4th, is our Christmas Banquet. This formal event will begin at 6:30pm and will be held in Katzman Lounge (In the basement of Vanier).The cost is $25.00 per person, and we ask that you RSVP and hand your money in by November 29th. This means that if you would like to go, you’ll have to email us your reply, and hand your money in at small group or to one of the leadership team members (Andrea, Michelle, Laura, Luke, Kendra, Susan). We will also be having a gift exchange that night- if you would like to participate please bring in a gift that is valued at $5.00 maximum. Finally, we will be having a servant auction, and are looking for services that can be auctioned! Please try to make these services do-able. If you have a service please email us back letting us know. This is a great night to celebrate Christmas coming and the closing of a semester- we hope you can all make it out!
4.The Santa Clause Parade is coming up, and we are coordinating a group of people to go! It is December 5th from 6-8pm. We will meet on campus at Vanier U. Time is TBA. Afterwards, we will head over to the Green Bean to warm up! If you are interested in coming or want to come and can drive, please email us back to let us know, as we need to coordinate rides.
5. Feedback- We are looking for feedback from you! Whether it be about small groups, our format this year, etc. This weekend is our planning weekend for next semester, so please email feedback to us before then if possible!
